Q: How long will Dalla Terra Pasta last once purchased?
A: Technically, this pasta is completely air dried and will last indefinitely but we encourage you to create your pasta dish within a few months for best flavor.

Q: Do you use any artificial powders for color?
A: We do not endorse the practice or use of any artificial colors, powders, or chemical preservatives in our pasta. Sea salt is conservatively used for enhancement of flavor. Sea salt is also a natural preservative.

Q: Why do you use Sea Salt?
A: It is our belief that sea salt is a more natural unprocessed product. Sea salt is a naturally derived salt that is obtained by allowing sea water to evaporate leaving the salt crystals and trace minerals intact for consumption. Table salt is mined from underground salt deposits and is highly processed before consumption.

Q: Where do you manufacture Dalla Terra Pasta?
A: Dalla Terra Pasta is a family owned business located in the heart of Appleton, Wisconsin. Owner Cyndi Connolly is grateful for the tremendous support that the Fox Valley has provided by purchasing our pasta. We manufacture our delicious pasta at our new commercial kitchen at 432 West Wisconsin Avenue, Appleton WI. We are only processing pasta at this time in our new location, so we are still only available at the above mentioned retail outlets.

Q: How do I cook Dalla Terra Pasta?
A: Since Dalla Terra Pasta is typically sold within 2 weeks of manufacturing, the length of boiling will be significantly shorter than the typical 5-7 minutes per instructions on the package. Just boil until tender which usually begins within 3-4 minutes. The longer your package of pasta rests on a shelf, the longer you will need to boil the pasta. Dalla Terra Lasagna NEVER needs to be boiled prior to layering in your lasagna pan. Papardelle pasta will probably need the 5-7 minutes due to the larger size of noodle.

Q: What types of pasta do you offer?
A: Dalla Terra Pasta offers flat cut pasta in three widths. We offer over 5 shaped pastas which are extruded through Italian bronze dies. We are a small hand-crafted pasta company whose goal is to manufacture a natural artisan pasta using primarily local whole foods, seasoning, and local milling (wheat) of our grains without compromising the quality of our pasta with quantity.
